Ari Page has helped over 30,000 startups navigate a competitive world and garner the funding they need to succeed. However, he wasn’t always like this. He started off working at the shipyards and quickly realized that he was just another replaceable cog in the machine. He didn’t want to be in that position for his whole life, so he decided to make some drastic changes.
Being Expendable Is Not a Fun Time
Page worked a regular nine-to-five like thousands of Americans, trying to make ends meet. The labor was backbreaking, but there wasn’t much he could do to avoid it. Outside the gates, thousands of unskilled workers could easily take his place if he decided he didn’t want the job anymore.
One of the things Page did in his free time was download movies. In 2000 or 2001, he downloaded a film that just had the name “Secret.avi.” It was a video documentary covering Rhonda Burns’ law of attraction. Immediately, Page realized this was something he could do.
Removing Barriers To Success
Page watched the video, and it opened his mind to many new ideas. One of the lecturers in the documentary was Abraham Hicks, and Page leaned into learning as much as he could about the law of attraction from him. The revelations he got were eye-opening and mind-blowing. This was something he could actually put into practice!
He learned about the law of attraction in its simplest terms. According to Page, the documentary taught that you could think of the things you wanted without putting mental blocks in place to prevent you from achieving them. It made him change how he thought about things and led him to a realization.
Quitting With No Plan In Place
The first thing Page did the following day was to quit his job at the shipyards. He had no clue what he would do, and he had a family he needed to support. But the labor and crushing disappointment of working in the shipyards after realizing that he could use the law of attraction for himself was just too much for him to bear.
Yet he quickly realized that he needed something to die him over. Not having a plan was a scary place, especially for a breadwinner. He listened to the law of attraction, which told him to just get outside and get himself somewhere that he could make a difference. This led him to his first cable installation job.
Climbing Up the Ranks
He got hired to install IPTV cable with a company, but he realized that what he knew was something no one could take from him. He quickly got promoted to head of the crew and realized that the law of attraction was working for him. By focusing on what he desired, he was making it happen.
Unfortunately, his employer was running out of jobs for them, and before too long, Page was facing unemployment as a prospect. He needed something more long-lasting, but what could he delve into? The answer came from a contact he made a long time ago but was avoiding.
A Timely Call
One of Page’s contacts was a guy called Dave Candle. Dave offered business funding, but Page wasn’t sure what exactly he did. Page had tried working with Dave at some point, but the idea behind the business never really clicked for him. So he dodged Dave’s calls to avoid telling him no to working with him again.
Something made Page answer the call that day. Dave was looking for someone to convert an audio file to use on his website. Page thought this was an easy enough job, so he agreed. He got paid $20 for converting the file, but in converting it, he also listened to it and it helped him understand something vital.
“Come Work For Me”
The audio file was a testimonial from a doctor about how Dave helped him to fund his business. Page had always thought that Dave worked in mortgages, so this was something new. After converting the file, Dave asked Page if he’d like to work for him again. Things were looking grim in the cable installation business, so Page agreed.
Moving Into White-Collar Work and Finding His Place
Page worked with Dave for a long time until Dave was ready to sell the company. Ari bought it from him and found his place getting business funding through Dave’s tried-and-true methods. He expanded on what Dave did and made the business into a powerhouse.
He found his place as a financial advisor to the wealthy, helping to build bridges and fund businesses with other people’s money. Business credit expanded from a tiny business into something far more intricate.
Traditional Loans Are Yesterday’s News
Page suggests that entrepreneurs who are looking to build their businesses consider business credit cards as opposed to loans for funding. He knows how difficult it is for those businesses to secure funding, and it’s far easier for them to get a credit card.
Page notes that many of these business partners don’t even need a traditional business loan since their credit cards cover most of their needs. However, as the business scales up, owners can seek traditional business loans, with the credit card acting as a history of the company’s performance. It’s a win-win situation.
Use Social Channels to Build Credibility
Page suggests that new entrepreneurs use social media to build their credibility. He states that entrepreneurs should see their social media page as proof of their product since their clients will see it that way. The business doesn’t even need to sell anything on its social media pages.
Page remains one of the most reliable people to go to for small-business funding. As an entrepreneur, he’s managed to secure over $1.4 billion over the lifetime of his company for his clients. He encourages new entrepreneurs to take risks and find out what works and what doesn’t. That’s the only way they’ll be sure that what they want to do has some potential for success.
